Craft Clerkenwell. Clear deep amber beer, little off white head. Palate is light and crispy, semi dry. Well integrated sweet malt and fruity hops. Tiny bit of caramel. Sweet orange marmalade, red berry fruits. Finishes minerally crisp. Well joined up and very drinkable.

Smooth and is a glowing copper coloured ale with a small head. The aroma reveals its strength and there’s some fruits evident here too - same when it comes to its taste.

Cask at the Claude du Vall (JDW), Camberley. Deep golden amber with a thin cream head; malty aroma with a hint of spice; soft malty taste that leaves the mouth dry; and some warming alcohol to finish. A pleasant pint.

Cask at moon under water jdw. Chestnut brown thin off white head. Neutral aroma with some caramel and cotton candy. The malt and hops fight for the fore in this beer. Flavour is a little muddled. Grassy hop finish. Sweetish. Hints of treacle.

Cask at the Shakespeare’s Head, JDW, London. Pours rich ruby with a tight, off-white cream head. Sugary malt nose, some ripe berries, strawberries. Medium sweet flavor, lightly toasted bready malts, hints of caramel, light leafy bitterness, ripe berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, bready malt finish, toffee and sugary berries and other fruits. A pretty simple ESB.
