Tap @ Portland Lobster Company, Portland, Maine, whilst enjoying an expensive lobster roll. Pours a deep golden amber, white head. Prominent piney resin aroma. Robustly piney APA character to taste.. old school IPA feel. Flavoursome. Decent.

Taster at taproom. Medium, clear golden pour, thin fine head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, floral and peppery. Quite a bit going on. Taste presents both caramel malts and floral hops, that recalls notes of mint and pepper. Dry, fast finish.

Can: Poured a pale copper color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of bitter and citrusy hops notes. Taste is amix of citrus hops notes with some clearly noticeable bitterness and light grainy malt notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable old school IPA.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/6/2018. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, cherry, red apple, mango, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, cherry, red apple, mango, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, cherry, red apple, mango, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink with the moderately bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Nice Cascade, Centennial, Calypso profile. Very unique from the Calypso. Very vibrant, dank, earthy, and juicy balanced hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from crisp resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Grew on my through the glass with the unique hop character.

Draught at Trina's, 8/9/18.
Mostly clear, soft-toned, peachy-golden with a small, yet fairly firm, white head atop.
Lightly fruity in the nose with strong orange and lemon notes redolent of Cascade and Centennial, though nicely free of pine (or pine resin, at least). Biscuity malts provide some heft and moderate "sweetness" in the nose and the beer remains clean and free of any alcohol, on the end.
In the mouth it's malty, with significant body and heft to it, although attenuation is still on-point. Just lots of soft texture and depth, with biscuit, dough and light honey. Marmalade, orange, grapefruit and lemon all play nicely adding only moderate bitterness and little/no resin. Fruity and ever-so-slightly juicy on the end. C-hops/citrus done right, for a change. Engaging carbonation and no flaw or alcohol noted. Not exactly overwhelming you with flavor and complexity, but well-made, as Rising Tide most often is.

Chewy cheesy hop and crystal malt. How old school. Meh. I mean it's ok for what it is but hops do come across cheesy.

Can at Black Christmas 2017
Hazy golden color. Grainy IPA, with resiny and citrusy hops, not too bad.
