Rich, super hazy golden and bright peach coloured body with a rich, two centimetre tall pure tan head. Aroma of earthy and english hops with some grain and malt perhaps more noticeable than the hops Light to Medium-bodied; Strong lemon and light pine hop notes show up first with some subdued honey and earthy malt elements as well, tucked into some grain and herbal flavours near the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of earth, some light hops and some caramelised sugars, good, but not great. Overall, a decent IPA that shows more of an English feel than anything else, but decent and nice to try, even here in Hawaii! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from the Kona Wine Market in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii [Island], Hawaii on 10-August-2016 for US$6,30 sampled in my hotel/condo on 12-August-2016 in Kona, Hawaii [Island].

Tap at Brewer’s Haven. Pours a flat copper color, fairly clear, lots of small bubbles, and a thin creamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty. Some citrus, but its faint. Lightly bitter up front, a little more of the malty sweetness in the tail. Floral and tropical fruit notes, light clean finish. Some hints of honey. Good stuff.

On tap at Pelican in Tillamook, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma reveals notes piney English hops and biscuity notes. Flavour is similar, with piney English hops, toasted crackery malt and a slight herbal hop tinge. Clean and balanced. Solid English IPA.

Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 4 - London. Pours clear gold with a bubbly white head. Lovely nose, with lots of juicy citrus, tangerine, tropical fruits. Medium sweet flavor with more juicy and nicely rounded hop character, low bitterness, nice pale malt foundation, some honeydew, orange. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Well balanced finish with light resinous hops, more juicy citrus, pale bread. Very good. (August 2014, score: 3.9)

12 oz bottle, thanks brenn79. Bottled 9/12/14, maybe a little over the hill. Aroma is bready, perfumy, earthy. Pours hazy orange with a collapsing off-white head that leaves a ring of big-bubbly foam; laces a little. Taste is caramelly sweet (not cloying) before finishing on a bitter, savory note; biscuity, earthy, herbal flavors. Highly carbonated, medium body. Not bad for being this old.

Draft at the lodge. Pours a medium copper color with a faint malt aroma. Flavor is initially sweet with a mellow hop and caramel malt finish. Decently light body. A little fruity too. Almost an apple or pear flavor hidden in there. Decent IPA that’s a little different from the rest. Not bad. RERATE: Draft pour pint at the Yardhouse. Stop #8 of the on foot crawl. I guess this late in a crawl I start repeating beers. Oh well.copper pour. Oily foam head. Watery malt aroma and flavor. Orange fruit at a minimal level. Watery malt finish. Overall a good beer both times around, though lighter in flavor the second time through.

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a pure crystal clear gold body that supports a near white head of foam. The modest aroma is sort of spicy, a bit garlic and with a sliver of citrus hops off in the background. The taste is smooth and somewhat understated where I get citrus tangerine mixed with a bit of spicy dank hoppiness. There’s a mix of flavor and bitter hops where the flavor comes out ahead in this beer. This is a well rounded IPA where the hops are there but don’t beat you over the head making this an insanely drinkable smooth sort of entry level IPA. Solid.
