Draught @ Albion. Cloudy bright orange with very small frothy white head, grassy hops aroma, low carbonation, flat sweetish taste with little hops influence, abrupt finish. It’s a wonder how they managed to give the flavor but not the taste of hops!

Growler split at LKS ’Beers of London’ Tasting, high up thanks to LKS, 10/12/14. Clear golden with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is sweet malt, candied orange peel, peach, light hop notes. Taste is malt forward, melon, straw, bitter orange. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so - ESB basically and not a great one at that!

10th December 2014
Tasting at Leighton’s Flat. Growler thanks to our host. Bright clear gold beer, residual white head. Palate is light and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Smooth pale malts. Modest hops - some bitterish floral flavours. Little citric peel. Light finish. Mild bitter linger. Feels a little like a well hopped (noble hop) bitter.

Growler thanks to Leighton. It pours clear golden-amber with a bubbly beige head. The nose is toasty, cereal, grain, honey and mild caramel. The taste is light, toasted cereal, soapy citrus, lemon rind, pepper, grapefruit and grass with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Almost like a bitter! English style IPA for sure. OK.

Growler 750ml. w. swing top @ [ (pre-Christmas tasting ) by chriso - London ]. [ As Wandering Star Horatio IPA ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, bread notes, moderate hoppy, grass. Aroma is a bit weak for a IPA not in your face as many IPAs from US. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, grass, pale malt, hop bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141207]

Growler shared at chriso’s winter tasting 7/12/2014. Many thanks to Leighton. Crystal clear golden coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is spicy resinous hop, I little medicinal hop. Flavour is composed of nice clean Base malt with a touch of biscuit, light lemon, medicinal spicy hop. Lingering dirty grassy hop biterness. Palate is medium light bodied, moderate carbonation. Lingering dirty hop bitterness.

Growler shared at chriso’s pre-Christmas tasting. Pours perfectly clear gold with a frothy white head. Pleasant aroma with semi-ripe citrus, orange, tangerine, some grass. Light-medium sweet flavor with dry, pale bread, some grass and leaves, citrus rind. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with light grassy bitterness, crispy pale bread, mild leaves, a bit of rind. Not bad.

Location: Draft at Blind Tiger, 3/26/14

Aroma: The nose is British hops, some grass, floral and herbal notes, and some spice
Appearance: It pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head and light lace
Flavor: Similar flavor, with herbal and spice hops mostly, fairly minimal sweetness
Palate: This one has a medium body, a tingly feel, lively carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: Thought this was a decent example of a British style IPA. It isn't a great one, but it is a plenty drinkable beer.

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, crisp biscuit malt with grassy British hops. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy hops, very British, decent.
