Aged on bourbon barrels.

Klassifikation: Fatlagrad imperial stout

33cl bouteille couresty of and shared with Gnoff, BB 140912. 2012 vintage.

Appearance: Black color with a creamy beige head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Mild oak, coffee and chocolate.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, mild oak and vanilla. Some alcohol coming up.
Overall impression: Tasty and easy drinkable impy. But something is missing from an imperial stout at 11% abv. Lacs some punch and power.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with SaintMatty

Bottle at the ChrisO Holiday Tasting, London - thanks to Ronny. Pours dark brown with a small, tan foam head. Dark bready malt nose. Big sweet flavor with light alcohol, mellow cocoa, faint roast. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly hot on the finish, with more dark bread, light spice, cocoa, booze, burnt wood. Pretty rich, and somewhat hot. Decent.
