Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014 - Session 1. Pours clear, red-brown with a creamy, off-white head. The nose has some toffee, ripe berries. Medium sweet flavour with notes of old wood, faint tangy ripe berries, toasted sugars, further toffee. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, faintly tangy, with more old fruits, berries, leather. Nice stuff overall.

Draught @ Real Gastropub, Honolulu. Reddish-brown. Smokey, lightly woody, light grape character, maybe plum, fruity taste...really weird, like sprinkling li hing on Islay malt. Bit of tartness in the finish. Totally crazy, only nerds would get this.

12oz pour at OLAR comes a hazy amber with some frothy, lacing cream colored head. Nose has a lot of red grape, chocolate, cherry, something vinous, herbal too, some vermouth. Flavor is tart, cherry, chocolate, mild citrus, vinous, mildly earthy, tobacco leaf. Full bodied.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Looks really good this. A big near everlasting dark beige lacing head over a nut brown/mild brown thing - that is the body. The aroma is not hard to identify even if the glass in on the table and I'm in a hall with 1000 smelling beer geeks. It's really woody and red berry infused. A sharp brett sourness. A little vinegar hint as well. Nice. It's really dark and roasted in the taste and compared with the slightly wood acidity it makes sense. Tones of both chocolate and coffee here. Malt vinegar. Soft to average prickling. Ending lingering. Nice one!. 02.05.2014

On tap at CBC 2014. Dark brown in the glass, small head. Mild sourish-malty aroma. Starts malty-stouty, modest sourish, smokey hints. Well balanced finish, less sourish. Not bad!

Keg at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, yellow session. 02/05/2014. Dark caramel coloured pour with a thin greyish / cream coloured head. Aroma is light tart, earthy coffee, some tartness, tart berries. Flavour is some smoked malt, tart berries, musty, some choc, berry tartness and raspberry in the finish. Palate is weird sweet and sour, musty and dusty on the tongue.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Dark color, near black, with creamy beige head. Rye German bread aroma. Good body strength, round mouthfeel; strong rye flavor, salty, lightly sour and sweet, correct bitterness, some alcohol presence.
Nice but weird, like eating liquid German rye bread and some schnapps.
