KRS 080815. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is toffee, malt, bread, licorice. Flavour is toffee, malt, hop, bread, licorice, spices, raisin. OK beer.

Bottle 500ml @ Geokkjer
Pours hazy reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, spices, dried fruits and biscuit. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel, dried fruity, malty and spiced finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. An unclear, dark amber colored beer topped by a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma is on the malty side with toffee, licorice and bread, and there’s also a distinct spiced touch of anise, cardamom and cinnamon. It’s full-bodied, soft and lightly warming on the palate, with sweetness and some bitterness. Toffee, bread and the spices known from the aroma in the flavor, the sweetness and spices lasting for a good while. Some oxidation in the very end. Not bad for a spiced Danish Christmas beer. 150808

Shared bottle at local tasting. Brown colour, moderate to low off-white head. Strong aroma of star anise (which I tend to hate) and other spices, but not godawful. Spicy flavour, star anise again. The mouthfeel is not very full. Not a great beer.

Shared bottle at RB/HD 07.02.15. Brown. Dark beige head. Strong aroma of star anise. Similar taste, with dark caramel. Aftertaste of star anise.

Flaske på rbhd-treff feb-15: mahognyfarge med offwhite, tett skum. Lett krydret aroma. Ovesen grøsser, her er det for mye stjerneanis. Jeg synes det bare smaker som en middels sterk, middels kjedelig juleøl.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Ebeltoft Baltazar 2013 ].ABV: 7.2%. Clear medium to dark red brown color with a small, virtually no head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spicy, anis - anis seed, mint, christmas spices ! Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, spicy, staranis, anis. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20131229]

Sample from 33 cl. bottle. Slightly hazy, dark amber colour with a thin off-white head. Sweet aroma with toasted malts, fruits and light spices - star aniseed and liquorice. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture. Finishes dry and spiced.

Bottled. A hazy red beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, and straw, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bpttle.Dark Brown colour with small head.Aroma is spicey of anis and cinnamon,sweet and malty,with strong flavor of x-mas spices and hops,sweet and rosted with light finish.
