Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 10/08/2014 Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell. Opaque black coloured pour with a nice dark tan head. Aroma is weird smoken malts, wood, veg, some lactic acid. Flavour is sharp acid, roast, veg broth, bovrille and ashy roast in the finish. Palate is very highly carbonated with carbonic acid bite. Bit of an infection.

Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014 London Sunday Tasting. Pours black-brown with a creamy tan head; it looks like a normal beer! Lots of smoked malts in the nose, some chocolate, burnt earth. Light sweet flavor with tangy dark malts, more earth, oil. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Sweet finish with still more tangy malts, bitter earth. Too oily, over-carbonated. Unbalanced and a little rough.

RBESG pt 19. Craft Clerkenwell. Grandish Tasting. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy and dry. Tangy dark malts, whisper of roast. Mildly sour dark chocolate. Light dry finish. Passable!

Bottle thanks to Leighton during RBESG Sunday Tasting. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The nose is toasty, rich roast, creamy, dark chocolate and rocky road. The taste is bitter-sweet, oily tangy fruits, sharp acidity, plum and salted caramel with a slick finish. Medium-full body, fine carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. One of the better ones out of a disappointing series.

Bottle drank during RBESG; black pour with a thin tan head, sweet roast malt and coffee aroma, carbonation was a bit too fizzy for this style of beer, however it does have stout characteristic, which make it better than the others I had in the series.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Joes. Opaque pitch black color, no head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, a hint of coffee, liquorice. Taste malts, liquorice, dark malts, a light sourish touch. Decent body, low carbonation. Hmm intended? Doubt it.
