Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. An attractive glossy black pour with a ring of dark tan head; aroma of roasted malts; smooth and milky with a well-roasted malt taste, no bitterness and a little lactic sweetness; then a satisfying biscuity finish with a little milky chocolate. A good old fashioned mild.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours black with a tiny head. The aroma is rich, oily, treacle, toasted malt and syrupy fruits. The taste is rich, sweet, oily, Dandelion & Burdock, plum pie, roasty, earth and a touch of ash with a drying finish. Light - medium body and decent carbonation. Has more depth of flavour than your standard mild. I quite like it.
