Cask at Crown Hotel, Nantwich. Pours a golden yellow with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. Rhe nose has some fainr orange and marmalade leanings. In the mouth it has a sweet and chewy texture, with autumn fruits as the main flavour plus traces of vanilla. Later on some bitter hops make themselves known, and they are the mainstay in the finish. OK, but a bit bland.

Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2013, day 3 - London. Pours clear, deep gold with a foamy topping. The nose holds nutty bread, grains, light citrus. Light sweet flavor with a bit of dried bread, dry orange, light rindy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Clean finish with balanced bitterness, light sugary bread, more orange. A wonderful session bitter.

Hand-pulled pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 22nd April 2014. Mid-amber body with a white crown that hung around. Pleasant blend with the malts just about winning in both the aroma and taste, the hops preventing the beer becoming too sweet or caramel sickly. Medium bodied and overall not a bad pint.
