(Cask at Brew Wharf, Borough, London, 27 Apr 2013) Reddish amber colour with foamy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of resin, blood orange and hints of pine needles. Fruity, hoppy taste with toast, orange, apricots, marmalade and a generous resinous bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Nice one.

Cask at the Brewpub. Light haze on this amber beer, little off white head. Smooth semi dry palate with fine carbonation. Nice bitter pine hops with lesser tropical fruits and a whisper of red berry fruits. Smooth juicy finish with a robust bitter linger. Good stuff!

Cask at Brew Wharf, London. Pours clear, amber-gold with a fine, off-white foam cream head. Big raw grass and pine in the nose, some lightly toasted malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with gritty pine bitterness, light earth, wood, toasted pale malts. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Rich, resinous pine and oily grass to finish, some bitter grapefruit as well. Nice, though the hops weigh a bit heavy at times.

[Cask at Brew Wharf, Borough Market, London] Amber-red with a small off-white head. Hefty bitterness up front gradually draws back to reveal the sweet malt behind. Lots of grapefruit, a little pine, some summer fruit. Quite content with this, I’m continuing to enjoy UK interpretations of the American Amber style. Nice one.
