Bottle from Utobeer, Borough Market. Bit of a gusher- lost a third of the bottle. What was left poured a deep gold with a large white head and an over-the-top fizz that did eventually die down to leave a pleasant frothy mouthfeel. There?s banana and lots of spice up front followed by hints of vanilla, lemon and orange. As others have noted, it’s let down a bit by the minerals in the dry finish, but then recovers with some Werthers Originals in the aftertaste. Pretty decent stuff.

Lightly hazy gold beer with a small white head. Palate starts soft but has minerally carbonation. Thin creamy malt, semi dry. Mild tangy fruits toward the dry finish. Not really getting much oak, perhaps it was used to round off.

Bottle shared with Paul at The Kernel. Pours lightly hazy gold with a large, white foam head. Lots of sugary dough in the nose, some tangy lemon. Medium to big sweet flavor, sweet dough, some hay, vanilla frosting, white sugar. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, well and sweet, some ripe fruits, rich dough, mild yeast, hints of tangy lemon. Some of the oaky, vanilla characteristics of a juicy chardonnay, along with the buttery mouthfeel. Very nice.

Bottle, thanks to Leighton. It pours cloudy yellow with a large white head. The nose is earth, hay, spice, dough, faint smoke, apple and dough. The taste is sherbet, pear drops, melon, pear, spice, dough, hint of oak, earth, hay with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. Ok, but not my thing.
