Atlantic White blends the tradition of Belgian ‘Wit’ beers and the hop-character of American IPAs to produce a ‘White IPA’. Brewed with wheat malt and Belgian wit yeast the addition of freshly crushed coriander seeds, Curacao orange and US hops gives a light refreshing beer with a zesty and spicy finish.

Bottlw from the Last Plantagenet (JDW), Leicester. Light gold, clear and fizzy with a substantial white head. Aroma is light, with some sweet spice and light hop character to the fore. Taste is sweet, slightly spicy from the yeast, with gentle hops in the background. Finish is more bitter and hop-led with astringency in the finish. Nicely carbonated. Not particularly engaging, but a good enough drink.

Bottle at the Standing Order. Pours clear pale gold, at first, then I wanged the yeast in from the bottom of the bottle. Thick white head. Aromas of banana and orange. Taste is light spicy, more creamy banana and light orange. Clean finish.

Hazy blond with fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have some sweet yeasty notes and coriander. Clean and fresh but a bit too sweet.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail, couple of months after its best before (Nov 2016)... Pours a hazy dark orange with a thin off-white head. Aroma: coriander, wheat, orange, hint of vanilla. Taste: mild sweetness, wheat malt, coriander/spices, orange, very low bitterness in the finish. Thinnish body, easy drinking. Interesting take on a Wit but there’s not much IPA in this.

Bottle @ Black Bull Inn, Bangor. Golden coloured with an extremely thin head. For a Wit styled ale it seems to have a lot of lager character to it, although there’s a hint of the aforementioned Belgian style in its nose. Has a sweetness in its taste with a mild fruitiness
