6.5% Bag in Box at the old Firehouse, Exeter. It pours clear pale gold. The aroma is soft, sweet, tangy apple, earthy, apple skin, marzipan and bakewell tart. The taste is soft, initially sweet, then gets earthy, tannins and dryness, some apple pie, tart tatin, pear drops with a smooth finish. Medium body and slick mouth-feel. Not a huge amount of depth, but the balanced makes it rather drinkable.

Cask @ Trades Club. Clean, crisp and golden. Good aroma but even better in its easy to drink texture that enhances its fruit appeal.

Straw colour, smells a bit apple juicy, not like a proper box cider. Mostly tannic, some apple, fairly sweet. Not one of my favourites.

Bag in a box at County Hotel Ashford. Clear gold no head. Apple juice aroma. Remarkable really as you can’t taste the alcohol. Medium sweetness with a little dryness on the finish. Decent

From a bag in the box at the Green Man, Bristol 3/06/2011. Deep, slightly hazy gold in colour. Rustic, tart fruit, cheese and barnyard aroma. Flavour was slightly sour, with some crab apples, woodiness and dryish finish. Ok.
