Bottle shared with and courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy medium brown with a frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, light sweet toffee. The flavour is moderate bitter with a soft malt, liqourice, light fruit, light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Best beer I’ve had from this brewery.

Clear deep amber colour, tall frothy tan head, good retention and lacing. Aroma roasted malts, cocoa, caramel, dark fruits, light liquorice. Onset gives a bit watery impression, taste light heavy to medium sweet and light bitter, malty, milk chocolate, light toffee, spicy notes. Sweetbitter aftertaste, light chocolate and spice notes, medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation. Surprisingly light ’feel’ for a winter beer.

Sampled @ Pint Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2016. Clear dark brownish color, small off-white to beige head. Nice malts and roasted malts aroma, lightly liquorice. Taste malts, dark malts, liquorice, nice bitterness, a hint of chocolate and some warming alcohol burn finish in the aftertaste. Surprisingly good, quite enjoyable. Tastes like more than 7% ABV. Medium body, firm carbonation.

Small sample from bottle @ PRZH Winterbiertickfest (2016). Clear brown color. Aroma’s: light smoke, roast, a bit salty. Retronasal it’s smoky, ash, light sour fruit. Flavor is roasted, light sweet and ashy. Medium bodied. Quite nice actually (compared to all the other beers....).

Thank you for sharing people! Sampled bottled @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Dark red amber with little tanned head. Nose is weird herbal cacao, varnish, booze & sugar. Taste is herbal, varnish, sugar, burned herbs, plastic, burned malts, nail polish. Thin bodied & too many unpleasant notes.

From bottle at Winterbierfestival Gouda 2016. Clear, dark brownish amber. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and caramel. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee and some caramel, followed by a short, slightly roasty finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Nice!
