Dark beer, with a creamy body and foam, its intense bitterness is offset by notes of chocolate and coffee from the fiery blow that the malt receives when it is roasted.

3/1/2019. Bottle from Carrefour express on Bolívar, Buenos Aires. Pours very dark brown with a short lasting tan coloured head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, sweet toffee, ash, soy, hint of coffee, liquorice and pomegranate. Medium to heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Bitterness increasing in finish but still dominated by sweet maltyness which isn’t all that pleasant.

340ml bottle into schooner glass. Smells of stale malt and cardboard, think Euro-supermarket beer. Deep ruby red colour with thin film of lacing on top. Full bodied and milk chocolate sweet, tastes nice. Finish is malty with a lingering cornflake taste. Not bad, like a cross between a sweet stout and a dark lager.

Bottle. Dark brown with a light tan head. Bread and caramel aroma with light roast. Kvassish. Really sweet with very light roast, heaps of dark sugar, bread. A little spicy at the end which provides some relief. Not my sort of thing.

Bottle 340ml (botttle from Rosario)
Dark brown color, small steady brownish creamy head, lace. Aroma has caramel, grainy notes and licorice candy. Light to medium-bodied. Very sweet. Caramel, grainy notes, aspartime. Overly sweet beer which probably is not an ale but a lager.

Bottle, Buenos Aires. Dark brown, dark sweet sugar aroma. Sweet palate, with a touch of burnt sugar bitterness. More balanced and more drinkable than most of the Brazilian macro darks.

A dark brown stout with a thick dissipating brown head. In aroma, light nutty malt with faint chocolate and faint herbal notes. In mouth, sweet cloying caramel with faint quick chocolate, not well done. Bottle from a Coto in Rosario, 7.60 AR$ (or 1.60$ ).

This is one trashy stout. No gas, and an almost sickening level of sweetness. The whole affairs ends in a sweet, honey like aftertaste that I can’t seem to get rid of.
