Pours a dark amber/light brown color, topped with a decent off-white head - very decent retention. Malty aroma with notes of fruits and some nutty notes as well. Some caramel also picked up. Taste is sweet, quite some caramel notes, later on also some fruity notes. Spicy finish. Pretty good.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy, amber to red body, with a small, creamy, yellow head. Aroma of red berries, citrus, yeast, grains, earth, grass, herbs. Taste is pretty bitter, dry, with about the same aromas, but with the earthy grain and malt notes more present. Mouthfeel is medium to light, slick, with a medium carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry, grainy and fruity. Clearly an English style IPA. Not bad, the subtle berry notes are nice and it is pretty sessionable, but overall it is too grainy for my taste.

Tap at the brewery. Aroma is hoppy, but lacks a bit of intensity IMO. I get fruity-resinous mix, as if citra-amarillo. Quite tempting. Lightly hazy reddish amber colour. Moderate duration of head. Taste is hoppy right from the beginning, although there is quite pronounced supporting caramel malt. The hops flavour however is not only harsh, but I would say completely inappropriate. It shows mostly earthy/grassy tart mouth-puckering quality. Tanninish vegetal matter. Definitely something wrong with this one.

Bottle 500ml. @ ChrisO Snow Tasting.Unclear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, light grapefruit - pine. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, orange, apricot, sour fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130120]

At the Brewpub. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is slightly dry. Mild minerally carbonation. Pretty sweet malt, creamy and with some honey. Orange fruits well buried. Semi dry finish. Not bad but not very IPA like. Drinkable.

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London. Thanks to Paul for this bottle. Pours lightly hazy amber with a fine, white head. Not going to put much more effort into this rating as the beer is clearly infected. Tangy, some leafy bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Bleh. Barely drinkable. (If the beer isn’t infected, then it’s really terrible.)

Bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting, picked up at 7 Stern. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is toast, sulphurous, grain and some sweetness. The taste is honey, lemon, tangy lime, some acidity, bitter-sweet aspect and faint soap with a dry, faintly citric finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Perhaps slightly infected. Disappointing given some of their other beers, but maybe this was a bad bottle...

Bottle at Chriso Snow Tasting, thanks to Paul, 20/01/13. Hazed orangey amber with a thin off white head. Nose is farts, sugars, vague hops, caramel, light vinegars. Taste comprises orange, sugars, malts, slightly acrid! Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, some vague bitterness in the finish. Unbalanced mess - file under ’M’ for MEH!
