Cask @ White Hart, Todmorden. Copper-red with a thin head. Has a crisp winter-fruit sweetness with some malt in its nose.

Cask at the JDW Square Peg; clear amber pour with a big creamy magnolia head, light roast aroma, taste has a combo of roast malts with some winter berries, caramel, some feint grapefruit hop.

Cask (handpump) @ The Lord Moon Of The Mall (JDW), 16-18 Whitehall, Greater London, London, England SW1A 2DY.Clear medium yellow amber colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, fruity, light to moderate hoppy, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, nutty, caramel, fruity, spicy notes. Body is medium, texture is oily and smooth, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell, ABV 5%. Golden amber with a thin cream head; floral aroma; soft in the mouth with a sweet caramel malts and some orange fruit; and a crisply bitter finish. A pleasant bitter.

Cask at the Pommelers Rest, JDW. Mostly clear, amber-gold pour with an off-white head. Foamy. Bread, some lightly toasted, burned edges, soft caramel aroma. Odd flavor, with heavy, heavy metals, such that I am about drinking this. Also some light plastic, faint earth, bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Metal metal metal to finish, with mild malts. What the hell? Metal subsides a bit as the beer warms but just barely. Something must be off here. At least, I hope so.

On tap at the Goodmans Fields spoons. 5.0% version. Bright clear amber brown beer with a creamy off white head - it’s an attractive pint! Smooth semi dry palate. Fresh smooth malt, a little creamy. Sweetish beer, well intergrated smooth and semi dry orange. Dry malty finish. Just a very pleasant well joined up sweetish Crimbo ale that I could have happily drunk all afternoon as could everyone I was with.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2007. Chestnut colour with lasting bubbly off white head. Grapefruit piney hop aroma. Great open beer. Good aroma, smooth and full in mouth with some raspberry flavoured malt and then more grapefruit hop on finish.
