Cask at the Old Gaolhouse (JDW), Winchester.Pale straw with a thin white head; light floral aroma; soft and grainy in the mouth some zesty lemon to start; and a sharply bitter and dry finish. Rather good in a non-Christmasy way.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours perfectly clear yellow with a slight, white foam head. Lots of biscuity pale malts in the nose, some straw. Light sweet flavor with grainy hay bitterness, some lemon rind, pale biscuits. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Quite bitter to finish, some grass, dirt, lemon rind. So so.

Cask @ Moon Under Water, hounslow. Rated on 28.11.2012
Aroma is quite nothing with somehay and hints of fruitiness. Flavour has grainy malt and fruits. Nicely hopped beer with quite strong malty character too. The hop profile is a bit unpleasant with too much gooseberry bush. Also, nothing christmasy here except the name.

Robust malt based clear golden ale with a heavy tasting texture that is both earthy and biscuity in its taste.
