Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell on 13th October 2012. Hazy amber with white lacing foam. Sweetish fruity and cheesy aroma. Tangy citrus in-mouth, with some delicate spice. Fruity creamy finish with citrus hop. Zingy mouthfeel.

Bottle at home in London. Pours clear gold with a large, frothy white head. Pleasant aroma of dried citrus, pale malts, bit of yeast. Medium sweet flavor with some sticky sugars, kind of harsh grassy bitternss, some surprisingly present alcohol. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with some dried out pale malts, alcohol, ripe orange, dry bitter grass, faint grapefruit. Some interesting stuff in here, but the beer is held back by a slightly too aggressive bitterness and booziness. Decent.

Craft. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy white head. Smooth palate, slightly viscous. Semi dry. Sweet esters (banana and bubblegum) do battle with the hops (tangerine and peel). Slightly bitter seltzer minerals that build in bitterness towards the end. The hops get a little sweeter. Finishes dry. Mild bitterness in the aftertaste. A little messy but quite drinkable.

Cask at Craft Brixton - 28/09/12. Lightly hazed blonde with a thin bubbly white head. Nose is full of Belgian yeast, fruit, hops, touch of spice. Taste follows the nose, a little bread and some citrus tones. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Cask at Craft Beer Co Brixton. It pours hazy golden, with a medium off-white head. The nose is dough, spice, green banana, citrus pith, orange and tangerine. The taste is banana, bitter grapefruit, spice, astringency, lemon pith, faint chlorine and alcohol warmth, with a bitter, lightly spicy finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Don’t think this clash of styles quite works in this case as the yeast takes over.
