Cask at the Lawrence Sheriff, Rugby, 17/04/13. Clear golden with a thin off white head. Nose is pale malt, caramel, grain, summer fruits, a little thin in aromas. Taste comprises a caramel backbone, malt, sugars, light hop profile, orange, citrus notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, sweetish finish with some bitterness. Pretty average stuff.

Crosse Keys Spoons. Clear gold beer, little white head. Palate is light and dry. Floral and a little nutty. Mild tangerine fruits and mild minerals. Joins up well. Nice combination of flavours all in good balance. All these modest marks on this beer puzzle me!

One-third pint poured from cask at Richard John Blackler (JDW) . Tiny, off-white head to a clear, copper coloured body. Firm lacing to the little glass. Smell of grain and fruits. Caramel and grain together with lemony hops creating a jam-like taste character. Malt bitter finish. Fine bodied, nice and tasty (Liverpool,07.04.2013).

Cask at the Greyhound (JDW), Maidenhead. Amber with a tight cream head; faint vanilla aroma; smooth bodid, and thick, coating the mouth with an interesting combination of fruit, woody bitterness and vanilla; with a creamy citrus finish. Some odd and interesting flavours.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW - London. Pours clear gold with a tight, white cream head. Simple, lightly toasted dough in the nose. Light sweet flavor, some toasted pale malts, dirty bitter hay, light grains. Light to medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Mild bitter straw finish, some lightly astringent lemon. So so.

Lovely golden colour with a thick creamy head. In its aroma malts are apparent, certainly in its flavour as this is its character. Not much IPA character save for some in its aftertaste.
