Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras. It’s been ages since I had a beer that called itself a best bitter, it’s all fancy smancy stuff in that there London now. Deep mahogany colour clear with thin beige head. Some caramel and toast on aroma. Yep a solid bitter. Does what it says on the tin. Not showy but the toast and the fruit are decent. Even a bit of walnut on the finish. Yes tasty, grew on me.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell on 19th October 2012. Ruby copper with bubbly white head. Fruity berries aroma. Very fruity in-mouth, with berries, soft fruit and citrus. Touch of saltiness. Biscuit malts and earthiness develop with pungent earthy finish. Zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body.

Cask at CPK, London. Pours clear ruby with a fine, off-white cream head. Berries in the nose, along with some toasted malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with some semi-dark berries, mild earth, grapes, cherries. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately dry finish with some earthy bitterness, berries, and toast. ESB done right.
