(Cask at Craft Beer Clerkenwell, London, 20 April 2016) Amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, orange peel, rye bread, red fruit and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, orange peel, red fruit, rye bread and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

Cask @ Golden Rule, Edinburgh 100712
Dark amber red, slight haze, creamy white head, good lacing
Aroma - citrus tropical hops, sweet caramel malts, floral notes
Taste - tropical fruit hops, mango, bit of pineapple, biting zest, backbone of quite rich caramel malts, some gooseberry
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bitter zesty, quite sticky, smooth mouthfeel. Finish - bitter, a little astringent, zesty hoppy finish, bitter tail.
Overall - A bit over astringent and not totally convinced of the balance between malts and hops, but it’s a good flavoured beer which I enjoyed,

Cask at CBC, London. Pours a mostly clear, strong gold with a frothy, white foam head. Aroma holds a bit of toasted malts, mild melon, berries, stray citrus. Light to medium sweet flavor with a nice, bready and toasty bready character, along with some toasted leaves, very faint grass, some orange citrus, hints of tangy lemon. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Well balanced on the finish, with a bit more toasty malts, some zesty citrus fruits, bread, melon, orange, very mild spicy pine and dry leaves. This is a very well rounded beer. The bitterness is perhaps just a touch too robust in the aftertaste, but aside from that it is very good.
