(Bottle) Hazy amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with dried fruit, toffee, crisp-bread, toast, herbs, roasted almonds and herbs. Malty, spicy taste with notes of dried fruit (dates), toffee, toast, orange peel, some chocolate, a touch of liquorice and herbs. Fairly low bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Not your usual saison. Spicy, herbal and quite different. Quite nice.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Bruce. Hazy amber beer, big fluffy cream coloured head. Light palate, airy and semi dry. Strange bitter caramel and burned toffee taste here. Touch of dried fruits. Dry finish. A bit odd not too bad.

Bottle thanks to Bruce. It pours lightly hazy amber with a small beige head. The nose is toast, sandalwood, caramel, varnish, leather, toffee and butterscotch. The taste is toffee, Werther’s Original, butterscotch, burnt aspect, honeycomb, spice, banana and bread with a very dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit too sweet really. So-so.

Bottle at Bruce’s during the kickoff to Jack’s Farewell Tour, London - big thanks to Bruce. Pours cloudy amber with a creamy, light tan head. Nose has some lightly toasted bready malts, some ripe bananas, citrus fruits. Medium sweet flavor, more bready malts, bananas, some yeast, caramel. Medium bodied with fine to average, creamy carbonation. Moderately sweet finish, further bready malts, some dryish caramel, dry bananas. Good stuff.
