Kentish spicy, red berry, ruby ale. This is a holiday beer, a big spicy rye and red berry fruity one. With a red hoppy nose, just like Santa. (And a gentle kick, like Rudolf).

Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, mild fine carbonation. Smooth malts, pretty aged tasting!! Little caramel. A very light touch of gueuzey sourness and wet wood. Light semi dry finish. Odd, Just tastes old!

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London - thanks to some generous bloke, obviously. Pours lightly fuzzy auburn with a fine, white cream head. Bready malt nose, some ripe fruits. Medium sweet flavor with light leaves, earth, semi-dark malts, dry fruits. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderate warmth in the finish, faint tangy berries, dry sweet bread, mellow earth. Pretty OK stuff on the whole.

Bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting, thanks to Ian. It pours cloudy deep amber with a tiny beige head. The nose is sweet, over-ripe plums, raisin, prune, red berry and brown sugar. The taste is caramel, toast, decent bitterness, red berry, date, prune, salted nuts, citrus peel, soap and some alcohol warmth in the finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Good balance. Solid winter warmer.
