On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - stewed apple and lemon. Taste - more of the same. The apple is sweet upfront then a bit tart. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent enough. Glad I tried it like!

Cask at the Greyfriar, Reading. Clear gold with a thick white head. Caramel and vanilla at first with growing apple skin and honey and a touch of lemon. However the apple and lemon are very light meaning that it’s on the sweet side, although somehow not too sweet. Good body. Pleasant spring beer, just needs a little more oomph.

Cask at the Prince of Wales, Farnborough. Pale straw in colour with a tight white head; sweet, floral aroma; the taste is also sweet an dfloral to start, with a grainy body, and some apple juice; then there is a building rounded bitterness, leading to a zingy, almost peppery finish. A delicate, understated, bitter that’s very drinkable.

Cask at the Old Fountain Beer Festival. Pours semi-clear yellow with a light, filmy head. Creamy malt aroma with some fruity hops. Fairly sweet, malty, with light honey and bread, and mild grass and hay bitteress. Light bodied with smooth, fine carbonation. Sugars in the finish with light fruits and dry, grassy bitterness. Nice brew.

(Cask at Priory Arms, Stockwell, London, 7 Aug 2010) Pale golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, floral nose with notes of grass and hints of green apples. Fruity, floral taste with hay, citrus and hints of green apples. Light body, slightly sweetish with low bitterness. Drinkable, but not very impressive.
