Cask at the Wellington - Birmingham. Pours clear red-brown with a light, off-white foam head. Light roast in the aroma, some burnt toast, dried berries. Subtly sweet flavour, with modest earthy bitterenss, light dusty cocoa, soft roast. Light bodied with fine carbonation; OK condition. Nicely balanced finish, with more toasted brown bread. Very nice mild overall.

Cask at The Welly. It pours black with a small bubbly beige head. The aroma is earthy, roasted malts, light smoke and dark chocolate. The taste is dryish, earthy, roasted malt, coffee grounds, treacle, fruit cake and cacao nibs with a drying finish. Light+ body and soft carbonation. Well rounded and highly drinkable. Great mild. Could chugg a few pints.
