Bottle from Darts Farm in Devon. Pours clear-ish dark amber brown hazy with a few beige bubbles. Undercarbed. Aroma: malt, plum, hedgerow berries. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, dark fruits, caramel, toffee, light boozy. Thin body with almost no carbonation. Not great tbh

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, April '19, courtesy of Mike. Pours a deep hazed brown, off-white foam atop. Aroma Is a bit dusty, cobweb, nutmeg, cloves. Taste is much of the same, rough around the edges, old malt, oxidized. Great to see an old clip-art Santa on a beer label, of course, but otherwise it's a weak, poorly executed Christmas beer. .

500ml bottle bought at Tuckers Maltings. Shared with Finn, special guest Gunnar and djoeye. A bubbly, beige head over a cloudy orange coloured body. Clingy lacing. Dried fruity nose, apricot and plums. Dark and dried fruity flavours, hints dusty hops. Dry fruit ending. Not overly sweet. Pleasing. (Session at Finn’s place, Tromsø 08.06.2017).

Bottle at Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2013 - London. Pours clear amber with a creamy, off-white head. The nose holds leather fruits, lightly aged malts and dirty leaves. Light to medium sweet with notes of ripe fruits, faint wood, slight leafy bitterness, bready malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish with further leather, some toasted sugars. Nice aged character to this one. Solid ESA.

Pigs Ear. The Round Church, Hackney. Bottle share thanks to Ian. Hazy amber beer with a small off white head. Palate is a little crisp and a little dry. A light dusty start leads to rich dried fruits. Light dry malt underneath.Crispy dry finish. Fine.
