Keg at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Boozy, rich aroma of vanilla and brandy. Tastes very rich, sweet, vanilla, brandy, hint of coffee and caramel. Complex, boozy and delicious. Great beer for my 1000th rate.

CP&K Pizza Port Tap Takeover. Nice to catch up with this after missing it Sour & Bitter due to inebriation! Opaque black brown beer. Little pale tan head. Surprisingly light palate, a little crispy due to mild fine carbonation. Mild dark malts and creamy malt are a constant backbone to mild and well blended bourbon, vanilla oak and brandy. Each flavour distinct but perfectly balanced. Finishes semi dry. Sophisticated well blended beer. Gonna have to disagree with beerisgoodforyou - the Firestone Walker comparison is a good one but I think this one is up there with FW.

Tap at Sour & Bitter 2012. It pours jet black, with a thin beige head. The nose is vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, toasted coconut and dark chocolate. The taste is toffee, coffee, roasted malt, oak, coconut, charcoal, earth, dark fruit, chocolate and alcohol, with a dry, warming finish. Medium-full body and fine carbonation. Well balanced and flavoursome.

On tap at Sour&Bitter Copenhagen. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Heavy malty aroma, notes of earthy. Starts heavy malty, woody notes, a bit earthy, modest sourish, fine chocolate notes. Hints of coffee. Well balanced finish, fine earthy-chocolate aftertaste. Impressing!
