This pale ale from Two Beers pours a great crystal clear copper (think a gleaming copper mash tun)with a foamy eggshell white head which leaves behind fantastic lacing. Malty aroma of caramel with a subtle use of hops. A smooth full body reveals big malty graham flavors well balanced by a clean bitter finish of pine & citrusy lemon. A satisfying pale ale. Crisp, bright copper tinted orange coloured body with a dense, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pale malt, a hint of light grassy and herbal hops, with a tiny bit of sugars. Medium-bodied; Grassy and very herbal note of hops up front that fades immediately to a good malt note and very little else. Aftertaste is watery with not much else going on aside from the faintest of malts and a tiny bit of grassy hops. Overall, a pretty mild and unobtrusive beer - not necessarily a good thing, but this one is right down the centre. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Pear Delicatessen in Seattle, Washington on 11-February-2013 for US$1.70 sampled at home in [the real] Washington on 16-February-2013.

Can. It pours a clear, golden body and a small, dense, off-white head. Lightly citrusy nose with some caramel in the back. Some citrus peel and resin in the flavor, and of course bitterness, else it’s more or less like the aroma, with caramel as a foundation for the hops. Medium body, dry. Not my idea of an American pale ale, but it’s drinkable and far from foul. 120622

12 oz can. Pours hazy orange-copper with noticeable sediment. Has a large cream rocky head that lasts, leaving lace. Aroma is citrus rind, citrus powder drink, grain. Taste is sweet, sour and bitter all rolled into one. Tastes a little worty, some metal, blood. Body is a little thin, carbonation average. A flawed but drinkable APA.
