Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - lemon and pale malt. Taste - massive lemon pith note again with a touch of malt in the background. Palate - light bodied with a long dry tangy texture that continues through the finish. Overall - solid but a bit on the bitter side. Definitely a summer beer. f

500ml bottle. Barely clear, yellow-ish golden colour with huge, frothy to macropore, osteoporosing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma has notes of gooseberry and a grassy touch, more sweet-ish hints of plum, biscuit malty background. Taste is dry, grainy, strawy, hints of gooseberry; watery, prickling carbonation.

50cl bottle from the Hogs Back Brewery shop. Clear amber to start with a billowing white head, some sediment adding a slight haze by the end of the pour; yeasty aroma with a trace of citrus; clean sitrus taste, with a hint of orange juice; and a fruity finish. A pleasant golden ale, but nothing more.

500ml bottle. Quite a pleasant orange citrus coursing through this beer, well-blanaced, nice light and crisp. Not bad at all.

Hand-pulled half-pint at lunchtime in The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 13th Dec 2013. Golden body with a full snow white head. Floral feel to the hop and malty nose, orange blossom being the main flowery aroma. Those orange notes continue into the taste, this is a fruity brew with only a passing hint of hop bitterness or malt sweetness. Different and almost interesting. An OK session Ale with enough ’unique’ flavours to test your taste buds even if they are not excited.

Bottle drank on hols in St Ives. Light haze on this gold beer. Small white head. Palate is crisp and dry. Tangy orange, over ripe. Little peel. Dry finish. Okay but could do with more dimensions.

Bottle at a ChrisO tasting - London. Pours perfectly clear yellow with a creamy white head. Hay and dough in the nose. Light sweet, pleasant flavor, some light lemony citrus notes, wheat, dough. Light in body with fine to average carbonation. Crisp finish, further doughy pale malts, light dough, some spicy hops, straw. Good enough.

Bottled. Deep gold with a decent white head. Touch of tropical fruit, slightly peppery, grassy hops and some solid malts before a moderately bitter finish. Fine.
