Keg at the Bedford Brewhouse and Kitchen. Black with a perfect khaki head, but it’s almost icing up the glass. Way too cold. I let it warm up a bit to rate. Porridge, coffee and some light lamb gravy overtones. Sweet taste at first with some gentle bittering hop for balance. Creamy palate. Decent once it warms up but not particularly exciting.

Keg @ Beerhouse, Bradford. Very dark-red, clear, with a creamy off-white head. Slightly milky with a crispness but very understated in its taste with not many roasted malts evident in its flavour, but a few in its nose.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 11 Feb 2014) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, dark bread and roasted malt. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, dark bread, gentle coffee flavours and mild roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Not very complex, but quite a drinkable and well made keg stout. Quite nice.
