This modern expression has an auburn glint. Balanced with charming complex flavours that are lightly spiced. The finish is fruity and bitter.

First introduced to pay tribute to the iconic trademark, which is part of the official crest of the Lacons name. A good honest ale that also fits perfectly with the family's motto, "in integrity is true honour."

Drunk from cask at Williams Ale & Cider house in London after a bad burger (elsewhere), while playing darts. The beer was medium dark red-amber, low carb of course. Great complex malty, nutty-bitter flavor. Excellent stuff in great condition.

24th Aug 2018; gravity poured half-pint at the 22nd Codsall Station Beer Festival. Really enjoyed this light amber ale with it's thin wispy topping. Nothing stood out in the aroma or tatse, it just felt right, lovely balance to it, a perfect English Bitter, not too sweet, not too bitter and NO CITRUS flavours!

Stillage at St Albans Beer Festival on 29th September 2017. Copper with shallow non-lacing foam. Richly malty aroma. Biscuit and caramel malt in-mouth, and a similar finish with notes of cooked veg. Smooth, with a medium body.
