Enjoyed the world over, Pilsner is truly iconic beer style and one that leaves little room for error. It calls for exquisite balance between malt character and hop flavour and aroma, with a well-judged bitterness on the finish. We use a classic German lager yeast to provide clean flavours and a crisp finishing snap, but add a New Zealand hop known for soft citrus flavours as a modern twist on this traditional style.

Can from Cotteridge Wines and drunk on a picnic blanket. Hazy gold colour lasting white head Good pilsner. Unfiltered unpasteurised full in mouth. Like a good Franken pilsner. Leafy noble hop flavour. So drinkable. Loved it sat in the evening sun with the cricket on. Lime lemon touch of nettle light herb. Good

So tasty I took a sip before I took the photo. Nice bready, herbal and a little citric aroma. Taste is mildly sweet at first, a little mineralic, tabgy, finished a little dry. Reminded me of a kaiser roll multiple times. Mouthfeel almost a bit juicy.

Can at home probably from 73 Enid. A crystal clear golden yellow coloured pour wit a lasting rocky white head. Attractive. Aroma is nice and crisp, delicate florals, hints of cinnamon and cedar, pale malts, pils. Flavour is composed of crisp light grains, with some character, leafy hop, low cut grass. Palate is crisp, dry finish, highish carbonation. Very chuggable. Some background floral notes. Tasty.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at the London taproom. Pours crystal clear yellow, effervescent, with a frothy, white head. Lovely pils, dry and clean, some pale biscuits, a bit of grass, hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly drying finish with further crispy pale biscuits, modest grassy bitterness, straw. Really drinkable and refreshing.
