Bottle at Fin & Loz’s tasting with Jan, Charlotte, Craig, Stella & kids consumed Saturday 22.10.11 I picked this up at Favourite Beers, Cheltenham Spring 2011 Nose is very Belgian like but hoppier, though there is a spiciness. Slight numbingness on the tongue, some lavender, soft carbonation in mouth. Great hoppy bite, strength starts to become apparent. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Cask at CPK. Pours a rich gold with a soft, white head. Sweaty malts on the nose, hints of ripe fruits, maybe caramel. Rich flavor, though not in all good ways. Good dose of bready malts, some boozy fruit, slight earthy bitterness. Full in body with fine carbonation. Medium warm finish, some woody malts, dry fruits, slight alcohol, subtle grass and earth. OK, but nothing special.

Cask via handpump, at CASK Pub & Kitchen on 21st May 2011. Clear amber with very little head. Fairly sweet but pleasantly so, richly malty with soft fruit notes in-mouth. Liquid is introduced with a blackcurrant kick. A little yeast in aroma, lemon-citric finish, but this remains rounded by the maltiness of the beer. A rather pleasant, smooth mouthfeel.

Cask air pressure at Euston Tap. Clear pale brown with cream head. Overly perfumed. That is pretty shocking to be honest. Style fail. Some rose petal fruit touch of esters. But frankly this is rubbish. Yikes.

Kegged version at the Three Tuns, Bristol 19/03/2011. Deep gold with a tight white head. Aroma of coriander, honey and spicy malts. Sweetish, caramel flavour, with plenty more green herbs, oranges and some citrus hops, leading to a dryish finish. A bit too much coriander, but an interesting beer nonetheless.
