Flip-top 750ml bottle on 7th Sep 2016 at the monthly Shrewsbury tasting in Chez Sophie. Cloudy old gold body, full white head. The aroma had a yeasty note or two alongside some tropical fruit esters: taste followed the same lines, slightly yeasty and fruity in nature. Fairly sweet, so my sweet tooth liked it.

75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Sep 16, courtesy of BlackHaddock. Many thanks. Pours hazy gold, large frothy white head. Aroma is familiar sweet blond yeast. Taste is fairly light on triple flavours, rather a session triple with moderately soft doughy yeast and faint spicy hop notes. A bit uninspiring, but I could quaff a full bottle in the heat no problem.

Bottle @ the brewpub in Reims. Pours very slightly hazy amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with notes of fruit. Sweetish, estery flavour with citric notes and touches of hops and fruit. High carbonation. Boozy; feels like more than the ABV stated on the label. Estery aftertaste with notes of malt. Drinkable but boring and non-memorable.

A little unbalanced with astringency and more bitter than typical triples. Florals, sweet malt. Pours cloudy blonde with fizzy head and good lacing. Soft carbonation, bitter finish. Not bad for the brewery - better than most of their stuff. Bottle from Yonge-Dundas location.

Swingtop bottle from the Ottawa brewpub. Looks like they fill them there when you order, as it takes a while to get it and it does not do any kind of pop when opened. Dry-hopping written on label (and Non-pasterized). Smells quite hoppy with grassy notes. Hints of fruity malt eventually comes out with citrus. Almost smells like laundry after a while. Hazy golden-amber colour with a creamy off-white head, great retention and wavy lacing. The taste is not as hoppy as the nose. Fruity malts with the hop kicking a bit later, but goes on, more and more. Medium-bodied with a mild dry finish. Probably the hoppiest Tripel I have ever had.

Bouteille 750ml. (18 mars 2013)

swing top bottle 330ml. -from brewpub Reims. Golden coloured, medium sized white head, light yeasty and spicy-alcoholic nose. Sweet malty, yeasty fruity and mild alcoholic taste. Rather dry bitter finish. For 3 Brasseurs not bad at all.

Bottle: Poured a deep golden color ale with a good size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of sweet malt with light peppery yeast with subtle floral undertones. Taste is a good mix between some sweet Belgian malt notes with some light peppery yeast notes and some dry floral undertones. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed though lacking some of the fruity ester that I usually enjoyed in this style.

Swingtop bottle from the brewpub in Lille
Clean amber color, with too much carbonation and huge head. Some aroma of hops and vegetables. Correct body strength, with spicy malt flavor, coriander, some residual sweetness, and strong bitterness; as expected, also some vegetables, but light. Flawed but drinkable.

At 3 Brasseurs Lille on way home from ACBF 2012. From a 33cl bottle in the pub. Hazy mid gold with thick lasting head. yes sone esters. yes some sweetness yes some alcohol and some hops. Uts fine again no faults but a tad plain except the kick of hop on the finish. ok
