22oz bottle. Poured a ruby brown color with a small white head. Aroma was caramel, toffee, molasses, touch of raisin. Flavor was very malty, with notable amounts of roasted elements, touch of vanilla, oak notes. The alcohol is noticeable, with moderate heat, even though it is only 8%. A bit sweet.

Cask at GBBF 2011. It pours moderate brown, with no head whatsoever. The nose is sweet berry: currant, fig, raisin and wood. The taste is tangy, sweet currant, raisin, caramelised banana, polish, astringency and wood, with alcohol warmth in the finish. Low/no carbonation and medium body. Ok, but nothing special.
