Bottle. Amber orange color with a small fizzy fair lacing mostly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is light hoppy and yeasty, moderate to heavy pear, sugar (sweet). Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate acidic with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. BBF 11/2005. Very nice ;o))

Brown bottle, 25 cl, best before 12-2007, savoured on April 11 2007; eye: amber with a red hue, beige head that falls rapidly to leave a ring around the glass, lightly hazy, slight effervescence, no lacing; nose: sweet, 7-UP, horse, apple; mouth: quite sweet, syrupy, malt structure but no taste of it, maraschino cherry, long sweet finale with a hint of horse, medium body, sticky texture, quite carbonated; overall: correct FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 25 cl, meilleure avant 12-2007, savourée le 11 avril 2007; œil : ambrée avec une teinte rougeâtre, petite mousse beige qui tombe rapidement pour laisser un petit anneau autour du verre, légèrement voilée, très légère effervescence, pas de dentelle; nez : sucre, 7-UP, cheval, pomme en rétro-olfaction; bouche : très sucré, sirupeux, structure du malt mais pas vraiment le goût, cerise au marasquin, longue finale sucrée avec une pointe de cheval, corps moyen, texture collante, assez carbonatée; en résumé : correct

Special thanks to jjpm74 for hooking me up with this hard to find style. Poured a darkish copper color, with a big foaming head. Aroma was like sweet and sour sauce, with just a touch of leathery funk. Flavor started out with a lot of candy sweetness and sour, with a big sourdough yeastiness, leading into a balanced finish. Medium body and very drinkable.

I liked this. It has some sourness but is obviously sweetened. There is a light barnyard, yeasty aroma. Flavor has more yeast with sugar and just a hint of sourness. Amber in color and well carbonated. Light and refreshing.

Test vom 18.3.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,6,7,5,6,5 - 5,90

A dark amber faro with a thick light moka head. Pleasant lactic cheesy aroma, light hosrblanket, cream soda. A sweet beverage with that funky cheese taste, lactic point, berries, and overall pleasant mouthfeel. A good St. Louis product. Bieropholie prvate import.

Bottle: Poured a clear medium orangey color faro with a big foamy head with quite good retention. Aroma of sugar with some tart and sourness. Taste is quite sweet which is kind of expected for faro with more tart and sourness and overall complexity then expected from this brewery. Overall, this was better then expected since this brewer is not know for following the traditional lambic way.

(Bottle 25 cl) Clear, dark amber with a rough, off-white head. Sourish aroma with notes of wood. Medium body with a fairly distinct sourness and then the pleasantly smooth and burned caramel sweetness from the brown sugars. A perfect melange of sweet and sour. Can’t help it, but I really, really dig this stuff. 050207

Bottle; Sweet carmelly candi, but acidic nose; slightly hazed copper with a small beige head; sweet apply flavor contrasting with a mild tartness, with some oak notes. I wish faros were more available, like the fruit lambics; I enjoy the contrasting sweetness and tartness. Without the baryard aroma notes of the Lindemans Faro, but very similiar in flavor
