Bottle from V-Markt in Kaufbeuren. Color: Hazy orangish brown, off-white head. Aroma: Wheat malt. Taste: Wheat malt, yeasty notes, some caramel, light hints of banana and spicy hints. Medium body, average carbonation. Ok Dunkles Weizen.

Brown with a foamy head that soon fades. Not much of the expected aromas for this style, indeed kind of empty. A faint hint of toffee and a touch of banana. That’s it. Taste is mildly sweet on a medium body and watery palate. Light grainy bitterness at the end. Forgettable.

Bottle at a restaurant in Allgäu. Hazy brownish with a decent head. Pretty flat grainy nose. Flavor has a tiny hint of banana yeast ester and otherwise what's left is a decent creamy mouthfeel, grainy taste, a hint of roasted malt. Pretty uninspiring.

500ml bottle. Pours hazy brown, thin off-white head. Aroma is very light weiss yeast. Taste is rather thin and light, faint glimpses of weiss yeast colours but fading very quickly. Really not a lot going on here unfortunately.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass brownish, nice head. Starts mild, malty, modest yeasty. Light roasty notes. Well balanced finish, still light, maybe a bit flat. Mild-malty aftertaste. Okay.

* Old rating, 50cl bottle, best before 04.12.06. Braun-trübes Bier. Malzig-hefig, leicht süßlich. Röstmalzaromen mit einer leichten muffigen Fruchtigkeit. Nicht schlecht.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes braunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, röstmalzig, leicht fruchtig würzig. Geschmack hefig, leicht würzig, leicht fruchtig.

500ml bottle. Hazy amber colour with average, frothy, off-white head. Wheat malty aroma with a touch of caramel, a banana note, hints of orange, spicy yeasty overtones, a touch of lemon. Taste is minimally to moderately sweet wheat malty, a touch of orange, dry finish; lively carbonation. Not that bad.
