Hybrid between a Russian Imperial Stout and Oud Bruin.
Opposites attract. This sweet sour marriage combines the viscosity and robustness of a Russian Imperial Stout with the winy delicacy of our flemish red ale. Tasting this beer is like a Sovjet bombardment on your senses that throws you from Moscow to Modena and back, to find balanced somewhere in the middle. The aroma reveals chocolate, raisins and Syrup de Liège, with a sense of port wine. The thick, sweet start creates the expectations of an antitussive that pampers the throat. The tantalizing sourness when you swallow, though, crushes that expectation immediately, so you have to start all over again. Comrades, unite and drink this oil of brotherhood!

Black with a thin beige head. Aroma is very sour/vinegar forward with sweet dark malts underneath. Medium bodied with loads of carbonation. Excessively sour and lots of vinegar, which overpower everything else. I pick up a little malt and maybe a touch of hoco late but it’s all drowned out by the intense sour profile. I can’t get behind this one.

A deep dark stout with a thin very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of balsamic vinegar, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, balsamic vinegar, alcohol warmth, woody notes, very nice and complex. Bottle at Mondiale 2025.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Very dark brown with slightly reddish hue and small beige head. Woody vinous balsamic note with some feint dark dried fruit and mild roast malt in the background. Everything comes together well, very balanced and enjoyable.

Bottle at home, koszi Bence! Pours black with thin beige head. Nose is a nice combination of light sourness, sweet booze, acidic notes, and chocolate. Taste is sweet upfront, booze and chocolate come through. Then some slightly sour and acidic character appears, giving a nice counterpoint to the sweet base of the beer. The finish is truly mindblowing, perfectly balanced between and sour and sweet notes, everything’s right where it should be. Medium to heavy bodied with a soft carbonation, definitely a heavy sipper. It really hit the spot for me.

Love it. Top notch body, malty red sweetness with a super puckering punch of sourness. Bruges bottle shop
