Cask at GBBF 2019. Pours unclear dark ruby brown with a tan cap. Aroma: toasted malts, bread, chocolate. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, toasted bread, light cocoa, earthy. Light body with fine carbonation.

Cask at GBBF '19, day one, 06/08/19. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is brown bread, dark malts, hint of sugars, toffee. Taste comprises biscuit, toffee, dried fruits, brown bread, grains. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent mild.

Skipton Beer Festival 2016. Black in colour. Has a fuller flavour despite a fairy easy-drinking texture with a good and slightly gritty roasted mlat in both aroma and taste.

Cask at GBBF 2013 - London. Pours lightly cloudy brown with a creamy, tan head. Chocolate and bread are the aroma. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of earth, tar, some toasted bread, light cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation; fair condition. Sweet finish with moderate earthy bitterness and further cocoa. Decent.
