Bag in Box @ Central Bar, JDW, Shepherds Bush W12. Pours a clear golden yellow color with a small fast disappearing white head. Has a fruity spicy apple aroma. Fruity spicy apple flavor. Has a fruity spicy and slightly dry apple finish.

Cask @ Old Post Office, Halifax. Straw-blond colour with a bubbly head. Lots of apple taste that lingers with the strength not as evident as it might suggest. Has a potent nose too.

Cask at Secklow Hundred (JDW), Milton Keynes. Mid-yellow, slightly hazy. A decent white head. This looks like a beer. And smells... off. Sour, buttery and greasy. The taste is infinitely better: a sweetish tang followed by a balanced sourness. The alcohol is warming on the way down. Brown sugar, rum and vanilla partner apple in the aftertaste. Passable.

50cl bottle from Provenance Wines. Appearance - amber with no head. Nose - not getting much apple but really big ethanol note. Taste - more of the same. No fruit but plenty of alcohol. Palate - not much body texture or refreshment. Just alcohol burn. Overall - really disappointed. This is my favourite style of cider but this bares no resemblance to anything I’ve had from the West Country.

500ml bottle from Hippo Beers. Fruity ripened pear nose continuing to a high juice, appleade flavour. Very sweet, almost too much but still had me savouring that taste.

Sampled at the 2013 Chicago Cider Summit. Pours a clear yellow with a thin head that starts at the edges and dissipates completely. Aroma has some dry apple and is a bit reserved. Flavor has a combination of earthy dry apple and sweet apples with the dryness coming out in the finish.
