Couleur paille, corpulente malgré sa sécheresse, étalement long.
Notes : Herbe, poivre, foin, miel, biscuit, fruit acide, levure rustique.

@ BXLfest 2017.

Canadian farmhouse ale from a small micro brewery, tasted at BXL Beerfest. Thick, moussy, lacing, snow white, stable head over a lightly hazy golden beer with vague greenish tinge. Aroma of cold French fries, old wrinkled apples, soggy grains, old bread, unipe pineapple, moldy old turnips, some banana, wet paper. Mildly fruity taste, actually not really estery enough for a ’saison’, hints of apple, pear and unripe green banana, spritzy carbonation, grainy middle, slick, bit bready with minerally notes; some retronasal DMS (cooked cabbage), grassy hops, dryish. Straightforward and too clean to fully qualify as a saison - but admittedly well-executed as a blonde ale in a more generic Belgian style. Not really impressed here, I’m afraid.

Tap at BXL festival. Almost clear light golden with white head. Flowery, soft spicy saison yeast, grassy, dank weeds, soft dry malts. Light sweet and medium bitter. Just medium bodied with dry finish.

We shared this 1L growler with the good folks at Beau’s. A golden orange color with s filmy head and a bready Orange and wheat aroma. The taste is cloves, wheat, soda bread, a slight hit of acidity but quite smooth. Tasty stuff.
