Combining different malts gives Black Dub a rich and complex taste; roasted coffee with hints of chocolate meet sweet oaty notes. There is a dark, deep pool (or dub) in the River Cover to the rear of Middleham Castle, after which our stout is named.

Opaque black beer, short tan head. Light airy palate. Milky sweet, almost creamy malt that is lightly tangy. Not bitter or dry. Just a subtle touch of fruit. Finishes light and semi dry. Almost a milk stout and a good one!
