12 oz bottle from Bottleworks in Seattle. Pour looks like cola, color, carbonation , the head - really everything. Sharp aroma of scotch malt. Taste is really thin bodied, almost like a watered down scotch ale. In a blind tasting, I would have never guessed Foreign Stout on this one. Oh well, Ethiopia, check!

Dark clear brown with a thick light moka head. A rather milkey aroma, candy, and toffee, a bit vinous. In mouth, a rather buttery stout, with rather strange milk notes, light chocolate pudding, a bit roasted. Not bad, not good. Bottle from Sherbrooke Liquors, Edmonton, Alberta, Jan.2007.

Bottle Pours a hazy medium chestnut color. Small off white head after a fairly aggressive pour. Aromas are of apple, honey, light roasted malts and some spices like cinnimon. Flavor is sweet, a bit cardboardy. More like a sweet brown ale. This softly carbonated palate. The best beer Ive ever had that claims to have been made at a "Beer Factory"Thanks Jordan My first Ethiopian beer

330 Bottle Pours out a dark amber topped with a light tan head. Aroma of red vine. A little odd on the tast but not to bad. Thanks Jordan

Bottle: Thanks to Jordan for sharing. Pours a hazy reddish, mahoghany with a small white head that dissapated quickly. Nose is fruity, even a bit of winelike qualities. Bubbles tingle on the tongue with tastes of fruit, raison, wine, and a sour blend. Not what you’d expect a stout to look like; nor what you’d expect a stout to taste like. Leaves a lot to be desired...

Bottled. Clear roast red. Spicy licorice aroma. Sweet and grainy, heavily spicy. Light bodied and roasty with somewhat syrupy mouthfeel and lightly salty finish. An interesting beer, but a stout only by the name.

Dark amber coloured body with a thick brown head. Aroma of caramel, malt, toffee, blood and raisins. Medium-bodied; Bad blood/metal taste up front with some malt-generally bad, with the taste turning to licorice at the end. Aftertaste bland, not horrible. Overall, bad-but interesting. A great beer to try, and thanks to Jon for letting me try this one! I sampled this pint on draught at RFD in Washington, D.C. on 20-June-2004 with JonR888710 & Haddon90.

Dark brown colour. I'm not encouraged by the wet paper smell. Vaguely caramelly malts, thin body, plasticy finish. Where's the roast at? Not much for a foreign stout either, more like a dark lager.
