This is a light, hoppy golden beer with citrus and grassy aromas. Dangerously drinkable, Lou’s Brew is available all year round in bottles, and has a dedicated permanent line in The Driftwood Spars.

Cask at CPK, Pimlico on 25th July 2026. Clear gold with beige tinted foam and full lacing. Zesty aroma. Nutty maltiness in-mouth with zesty peel. A lush, agreeable malt finish with citrus fruits. Crisp texture and a medium body. Nicely crafted.

500ml bottle from Driftwood Spars Brewery. Gluten Free. Clear amber gold colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of malt, caramel, citrus. Taste is sweet malty, roasty hint, bready with toffee, caramel, straw, and some tangy, grassy, citric bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sweetish malty finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - golden amber with a light haze and a nicely proportioned white-ish head. Nose - lemon, apple and caramel. Taste - lemon and caramel, with a bready backdrop. Palate - light to medium bodied. The middle is just a little sticky but decent balance. Overall - decent.

24th Aug 2018; gravity poured half-pint at the 22nd Codsall Station Beer Festival. Clear golden body, wispy white top. Hoppy, dry and bitter, light citrus leanings in both the aroma and taste. Decent.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A golden beer with no head. The aroma has notes of citrusy and flowery hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and hay, leading to a dry, bitter, and lemony finish.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2010, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear medium orange yellow color with a small to average, frothy to fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, malt sweet notes, light to moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, plastic notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100805]
