Old rating - A 500ml bottle from my trip to Copenhagen a few years ago & cellared since. Pours jet black with a beige foamy head. Aromas & tastes of thick creamy coffee, dark chocolate, plums, toffee, roasted malt, slightly roasted sesame seeds & liquorice. Medium body. Warm slightly alcoholic bitter finish. Excellent imperial porter

Bottle 500 ml. Dark, brown to black color, creamy foam. Aroma: cheese (Cheddar), caramel, dried fruits, chocolate, prunes and brandy. Taste: strong, rich, shades of caramel, roasted and burnt malt, velvety, slightly creamy, dark chocolate, a little port wine with dried fruits, brandy and bitter hops. Good winter beer.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (ØJ-dag share 03/11/2016) - pours black with a beige head. Aroma and taste is roasted and sweet malty, lovely honey and caramel sweetness coming in, some cocoa, honeycomb, light roasted coffee, light vanilla caress in the warming boozy finish. Excellent.

Bottle, 8.6%. Fruity and roasted, vanilla aroma. Black colour. Small light brown colour. The flavour is sweetish and jammy, with a good bitterness. Oily mouthfeel. Very good.

Pitch black, small beige head. Fruity aroma, lots of plums. Malt in the long nose. Fruity and malty favour with a lot of raw alcohol. Notes of choc and licorice, strong coffee bitterness. Too boozy.

Bottle. Pours cloudy nearly black with small tan head. Dark aroma of roast, malt and raisins, with touches of smoke and notes of coffee. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of malt and coffee and touches of dried fruit and yeast. Hints of dark chocolate. Roasty aftertaste. Prononunced alcohol presence. Quite decent but rather potent.
