Amber in colour with a smooth malt mouthfeel and lots of fruit and hop flavours.
It’s as satisfying as a walk on the fells or a stroll through the dales.
Hops: Fuggles and Willamette.

Cask at JDW Arthur Robertson; hazy amber pour with small white head, fruity aroma, sweet malt taste, caramel, tasted awesome after 6-1 win at the Villa.

[Cask at Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading] Amber, moderate white head. Pleasant sweet toffee and fudge up front swiftly becomes cloying. Mild but dirty earthy hop bitterness doesn’t help. Not one of Moorhouse’s better efforts.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW - London. Pours perfectly clear, dark gold with a fine, white foam head. Basic bready malt nose with hints of toasted leaves. Light to medium sweet flavor with lightly dried bread, leaves and mellow earth, hits of berries and dry fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Sweet finish with toasty bread and hints of toffee. Fine. Very basic stuff.

Cask at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. Reddish amber with a tight cream head; and a grassy malt aroma; light and floral with a grainy body and a light bitterness; and a biscuity finish. Satisfying.

12th April 2010. Very light haze on this amber beer. No head. Soft smooth palate. Not much carbonation. Sweet malt, a little creamy. Really well joined up with smooth fruit. Mostly orange but other fruits as well - traces of pear and apple and other fruits. Not sure why this was shelved for 6 years - pretty smooth!
