Bottle: Hazy, deep amber coloured, almost black, medium-sized - quite stable - lacy beige head; exotic fruits and piney hops in the nose, backed by a touch of roasted malt (almost smokey); moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, pretty soft; lingering fruity (pineapples) and piney-hoppy finish with some dry toasted malt in the aftertaste. Just good.....

(bottle) Hazy, dark brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Fruity and slightly piney hoppy aroma with notes of exotic fruits and a present dark malty touch, including notes of mocha and liquorice. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark malty start with a tinge of coffee and liquorice, taken over by fruity and slightly piney/resiny hops from the middle part; bitter-sweet and moderately dry finish with lingering hoppy notes. 06.IV.11

Bottle 9C. Dark brown with an inch of beige head. Very fruity aroma with gooseberries, grass clippings, lychees and darkish caramel. Thinnish body. Taste has a little burnt malt, chocolate, licorice and the mentioned fruit. Fruity finish with growing roasted bitterness. As usual with sort of thing some of the hop aromatics are somewhat obscured, but in this case the fruity bits of the Kiwi hops remain whilst ironically the cat’s piss / cleaning fluid is mostly buried.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, ABV is 4.7%. Very dark brown colour, big beige head. Nice aroma of fruity and grape-like Nelson Sauvin hops, some roasty notes too, hints of dark chocolate. Refreshing flavour, mostly due to the hops, but there are also distinct and dry roasty notes, hints of ashes in the finish. A decent enough beer, but I am still not convinced that the recently invented combination of fruity hops and dark roasty beer is the best idea ever.

500 ml bottle. Amber body with a big, creamy beige head. Very nice aroma of grapefruit and other citric fruits, pine and caramel. Flavor is pleasant, light roasted malt, caramel, lots of citric fruit and well-balanced bitterness. Feels quite light and refreshing, still distinct in flavors, relatively complex, smooth and balanced. Really nice considering such low alcohol, could easily be a favorite session beer. Great stuff!
