0,5l, bottle for both.
Festbier - had no head whatsoever. A bit stronger aroma, maltier I’d say, bit similar to a Helles. Color seemed to bit a tiny bit darker, especially from a top view (hence my second picture). Finish was either none, or a faint malty one. Can’t get another bottle, as this was part of a box/set. Expiry on label is 2026 April.
Festbier Winter - had plenty of white head. Popped the bottle and while I was sniffing the other one the bubbles were already coming out of the bottle. Very weird. Aroma was hoppier, and the finish was a bit towards sweet. Could it be that the beer already went bad before I purchased it? I could buy another bottle from this version, for science purposes  Expiry on label is 2026 october.

Had this at home Sunday 6th July 2025 after Loz and I spent an hour working in the vegetable patch, picking Mange Tout, weeding etc. We walked to Gasthof zum Sonnewald Schöfweg earlier for a beer. Listening to the new album by Big Special - Mess. I certainly never tried this first time around when they were still independent (early 90s) but now very much like the previous beer this is brewed by Arcobrau. Pours warm gold, excellent clarity, mid) large white head, nice mouthfeel, some honey sweet'ness, the bitterness and hoppiness is muted, but it's a solid Marzen. Decent beer.

Clear golden with a stable fluffy head. Grain, stone fruit, metal, candied malt, citrus. Grainy fruity sweetness, metallic bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry grainy metallic finish. Very solid Festbier!
